Portillo Estudio Legal is a law firm whose origins date back to 1982, at the hands of its founding partner Gonzalo Portillo de la Torre.

In 2021, the firm was re-founded by the second generation of lawyers in the family with the aim of adapting it to the digitalisation and transformation demanded by society and clients.

The firm has been re-founded by Gonzalo Portillo Bautista, a practising lawyer since 2007, whose professional career has been developed until 2021 in professional firms of recognised competence where he has been able to forge a solid experience and specialisation in Commercial and Corporate Law, Insolvency Law and Procedural Law.

During the first years of practice, his professional practice focused on board secretarial work, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts.

The evolution towards the needs of clients made it necessary to acquire knowledge and skills in insolvency and procedural law, assuming the legal direction of numerous legal proceedings, including those aimed at defending the interests of consumers and users (floor clauses, mortgage expenses, IRPH, preferential, subordinated debt, financial derivatives or revolving cards, among others).
